Continuing the process of identifying things on the car and what is needed, we see we need 10 spline gears for the rear end (no idea at this point what gear ratios we need but that's not a today problem yet), we also have a 16 spline driveshaft which will inform the decision on the u-joint (coupler between driveshaft and engine), and new 3" belts (but with a HANS device they recommend 2" but they don't really make 2" belts? Exhausted.) Just figuring out it is called a u-joint is a task in-and-of-itself when starting up, I called it a coupler and people had no idea what I was talking about. Learning the lingo when starting anything new is so important. While in the midst of that also started to tackle some easy things like rebuilding the front bearings.
